Day 1 – The Verb Hacer (To Do / To Make)
Learning Spanish can be overwhelming, right? Just when you think you’ve got the hang of it… boom, something else pops up and humbles you all over again. For me, that “something else” has been Spanish verbs—especially how one verb can twist itself into about ten different forms depending on the tense, the subject, the mood, the weather (okay, maybe not that last one, but you get the point 😅).
So, to make sense of it all, I’m giving myself a challenge:
One Spanish verb a day, for 90 days.
Each day I’ll learn the verb in the past, present, and future tense, and a few simple, everyday sentences to lock it in.
Hacer – To Do / To Make

Hacer (To Do / To Make) – sentences
Present Tense (Presente)
- yo hago ejercicio para sentirme bien. (I work out to feel good.)
- tú haces cambios positivos en tu vida. (You’re making positive changes in your life.)
- él / ella hace meditación cada mañana. (He/She does meditation every morning.)
- nosotros hacemos entrenamiento mental y físico. (We do mental and physical training.)
- vosotros hacéis un esfuerzo por mejorar cada día. (You all make an effort to improve every day.)
- ellos / ellas hacen hábitos nuevos para crecer. (They’re building new habits to grow.)
Past Tense (Pretérito)
- yo hice una sesión intensa de cardio. (I did an intense cardio session.)
- tú hiciste un cambio importante en tu mentalidad. (You made an important mindset shift.)
- él / ella hizo su primer entrenamiento en el gimnasio. (He/She did their first workout at the gym.)
- nosotros hicimos un plan de acción juntos. (We made an action plan together.)
- vosotros hicisteis una rutina poderosa esta semana. (You all did a powerful routine this week.)
- ellos / ellas hicieron lo necesario para avanzar. (They did what was necessary to move forward.)
Future Tense (Futuro)
- yo haré ejercicio todos los días durante un mes. (I will exercise every day for a month.)
- tú harás lo difícil porque sabes que vale la pena. (You will do the hard thing because you know it’s worth it.)
- él / ella hará lo mejor para su bienestar. (He/She will do what’s best for their well-being.)
- nosotros haremos cambios duraderos. (We will make lasting changes.)
- vosotros haréis una diferencia en vuestra vida. (You all will make a difference in your life.)
- ellos / ellas harán lo imposible posible. (They will make the impossible possible.)
